in the process of dealing with other problems i was lead to the power wire from the battery to the engine fuse in the engine bay fuse box. i was pulling the engine fuse out to try and check for bad connections when the end of that wire broke free from the plate its originally mounted to. wondering if anyone has bought one of these before from anywhere if toyota maybe has them?? any help would be great i just dont want to replace with another 20+ year old used one

did you replace the fuse box end of that power wire though? if it wasnt for that 1.5x1.5inch peace of flat copper i would jump on making my own.

If it's the wire into the diagnosis box, then that should be part of the wiring harness.

 

The fuseable link on earlier models. you can just crimp or solder on a ring terminal and bolt it in using one of the bolts that are holding the other wires to the plate.
