Viper alarm install need some pointers

Over a year ago I got a Viper 350HV alarm from my old roommate the unit is practically brand new in the box. I would like to install it in my 1985 Toyota truck. Not looking to do anything drastic just the basics of what this alarm will do. Shock sensor, starter kill, flashing lights, dome light trigger off doors, flashing LED on dash and the siren. I was able to verify the unit works before I removed it from her truck that was traded in. She saved all the paper work, instructions and box which came with the unit. She had the unit installed for only 4 months.

I refuse to let any of the local chop shops install anything on my truck of this nature. I want to solder and shrink wrap all the connections, the local shop said they use butt connectors with no problems. Will this be easy to install? I have wired radios, amp etc, but never messed around with an alarm.

My brother did this stuff for years, at a bunch of different places, some cookie cutter, some high end custom.
All my alarms he makes me do. All he does is prep the "Brain" which is just getting all the wires twisted together and what not ( use a drill motor to twist them up just don't do it to fast or tight)

Get a test light, Google the wiring diagram/instructions if you don't already have it. And get the sheet that points you to where everything is in your truck. I.E door trigger is blue/orange wire located in lower left kick panel.
Other wise its all attention to detail.
Put the shock sensor up on he steering shaft under the dash and adjust it for a hard bump on the window.

Tidy up the main wiring and strap it securely up under the dash. Should be all good. it just will take you longer than a "Pro"

My last alarm took me 8hrs, but i had alarm, remote start and windows front and back.

Good luck.

If you cant find the wiring info let me know. I might be able to source it for you from a couple people i know. just might take a few days to get it.
