turn signals... kind of psycho

OK - this is more of an annoying issue that my wife calls the truck's psychotic turn signals.. :

When I use the turn signals - they blink normal for about 3 or 4 intervals.. then they speed up.. slow down... speed up...

it is kind of funny and it passes the state safety inspection but it is crazy and I'd like to fix it. I searched around and didn't see any other posts that referred to this but I suspect it is the flasher/turn signal relay?

the only way to find out is by replacing the relay. that makes the most sense to me

X2 on the flasher relay. I had a similar issue in my VW, would flash normal, faster, slower, some times not at all. Put in a new flasher and all is well.

Before you change the flasher relay, just make sure all lights and wires are not loose. I did that on my Sequoia and Landcruiser and both were bad bulbs and a loose wire on the L/C. Just trying to save you some $$$.
