T100/Tacoma Interchanging Parts?

Hey guys I'm new here so if this question has already been asked, I apologize in advance. I have a '95 T100, but due to the severe lack of aftermarket parts and no help from Toyota directly, I have a question. Since there are no super differences in certain parts from Tacomas and T100s, will their tail lights interchange? I want to find some euro tail lights for my truck but it's impossible so would euros from a 95-98 Tacoma work? Thanks in advance guys,
Zach

Doubt the tail lights would switch. The only parts I know that are interchangeable between the two is the rear differential.

Okay thanks. I knew the Tacoma tail lights had the same place to bolt on on the inside of the lights but I just didn't know if the lens pieces were the same size.

For the most part, the only place that parts will interchange with a tacoma is in the engine. With yours being a '95, I'm not 100% sure if your's has a 3.0 or a 3.4. If it's a 3.4, most engine parts for the tacoma will fit. As far as suspension goes, the front is identicle to the 86-95 pickup's and 4Runners. That's about as far as your interchangeability goes...

I've never tried looking to be honest. The stock tail lights work just fine for me...

Oh yeah headers are definitely on the list of things I want to do along with a lift when I can afford one, but I want to have some cosmetic upgrades too.

What about a cold air for a Tacoma? Since the engines are both 3.4s they should interchange right?

mounting locations might be different as well as tube length and whatnot because the engine bay itself is different. yes it should bolt up to the throttle body, but everything else meant to secure it might not as well it might have different bends etc etc. If it's listed for a Tacoma and not a t-100 there is a reason.

Do you know where I can get one for a T100, I looked on K&N directly but they said that there isn't one because they don't make one? Not sure where else to look. Thanks.

Nah, it's this.

But, don't do that. You shouldn't do that. Get the drop-in panel and keep the stock taillights.

Drop in panel? And I'm not too awfully fond of the stock tail lights really. I mean they work for the time being but at some point I would really like to upgrade them.

Also what if I just bought each part separately? Would it come out cheaper that way and what parts would I need to buy if I did decide to buy it individually? Thanks again

The drop in panel is a K&N cleanable cotton filter that fits in the stock airbox. Less restrictive than the paper one, lasts the life of the vehicle when cleaned regularly, and lets you keep your water pocket. Something about open air filters frightens me.

I'd really wait till you crack a light on a trail before "upgrading" them.

These guys are right. Looking back, I wish I would have just done an ISR mod and put in a drop in filter. I got my K&n for free, but it was for a Tacoma/4Runner, so I had to modify it to fit my T100. Save yourself the money and just used a drop in filter and do an ISR mod.

-edit- BTW, I believe the only real way to upgrade the tail lights is to put in LED's. Other than that, I believe your kinda out of luck.

scratch that, if your going to show the truck then I wouldn't worry about the performance gains or lack thereof or the drawbacks to off-roading with a CAI.
