Simple Wiring Question, please

Front and rear parking lamps are out as a result of a fuse blowing. Every subsequent fuse has blown immediately. I know this is a short. My question is - could a broken ground wire cause the short? If there is no ground, will it pop a fuse?

If your bulbs are dual filiment, I think it's possible that the bulb shorts out internally?

It won't blow a fuse if there is no ground wire.

Possibly a bad relay, maybe?

Try simplifying things, pull all the bulbs and re-test the fuse. Could be a bulb in which the filament shorted internally (it has happened before).

Also, did you do any wiring mods lately, such as a new radio, amp, etc. or a trailer wiring harness? If so, check all those things and/or disconnect those parts and re-test.

Call me stupid but there's been a rash of electrical problems in Yota's reported on the board. In my mind it's time for relay spring cleaning.

That's just it - I haven't touched any of the wiring lately except to install a new CB antenna. And I didn't touch any wires for that.

The internal short on a bulb is a good idea. I'll try that tonight.

THANKS FOR ALL THE SUGGESTIONS!!!
