Oxygen sensor?

Has anyone heard of or had problems with the oxygen sensors from advance auto or anywhere else. I went the cheap route and spliced the new sensor to my old harness for $40. My 4runner is throwing code 71 which is for egr, and I have replaced everything so far in the egr system. I wonder if its the cheap o2 sensor?

Thanks
