So im useing a reley this time and its fairly simple but it calling for me to splice into the dimmer switch for hi and low beam, and there are 2 that are hot when I turn the lights on so. Im wondering Whats the right one quick relpy would be awsome since The trucks torn apart now.

if you want them to come on when the his or lows are on just splice the + of the headlight harness in the engine bay. that way they will turn on when the lights are on hi or low and they will be on a fused link in your fuse box.

I can't really answer your question, but why don't you just wire them to the batter so you can turn them on whenever you want?

well after some luck and a bit of guess work.. you have to wire them up for them to work cause the power comes off the starter solenoid. anyways it wont work with out it being spliced to the high and low beam switch.. I got it workin thanks for the repleys now I just gotta zip tie it all off and button it up and its gettin cold lol

The way I wired my lights is good for off-roading, passing inspection and safer when I let some one borrow my truck.

I ran a wire from the original highbeam wiring to a 3 position toggle switch. I also ran a wire from the battery to this switch. The switch is a onA/offAB/onB type switch.

The highbeams are "A" and the battery is "B". Then I ran the output wire to the 4 switches for my forward facing aux.lights.

I put the 3 position switch under the dash, I know were it is and I can reach it from my seat but its very hard to see this black switch under there.

Now I can cut the power to my aux.lights with the headlights lever by setting the switch to "A", which is good for highway driving and yearly inspection. I can also control them individually for special conditions and off-roading by selecting "B".

I can also cut the power to my switches so people canīt use the aux. lights. People like my sister. No need to have a 17 year old girl running around with 800W of lights and 2 HID spotlights to use a her disposal.
