No reverse lights on 91

Hey I have a 91 manual 4runner and I have no reverse lights. The bulbs are good, everything I check is good, switches, fuses, etc. My only guess is that maybe there is a problem somewhere within the dash or with all the wiring near the pedals. I've had no luck looking online for a wiring diagram. Any suggestions?

V6 or 22re? Not sure if that matters on this or not, but on my 94 w/ 22re, theres a connector on the left side of the tranny. My reverse lights weren't working and found that this was disconnected. I had checked the bulbs, replaced them for insurance, checked the fuses, and replaced them as well and it was just the connector.

Its a v6 manual and yeah I checked that connecter. I should have mentioned that before. From my testing it should be opperating properly.

have you checked to make sure you have power at the lights themselves? take the bulbs out and check the voltage at the connections? are the connections clean where the bulbs touch?

did you check that switch on teh tranny itself? when you put it in reverse, you should have continuity, when you are in neutral or any other gear you should have an open circut. another way to test that switch is turn the ignition on and jumper those wires with a paperclip. if your backup lights work, it's the switch.

my girlfriend has this same problem on her 90 4runner manual. we havent gotten around to replacing it yet due to money problems on her side
