Cruising thru a parking lot and all of a sudden the engine/battery light comes on (engine still running), the tach needle goes through the roof (without increased RPMs) and now I don't have power to any windows, locks or mirrors.

All the fuses are good andthe "Power CB" relay, which I think runs the windows, has good continuty. No burned smell, lights and gauges still work. Am I missing something?
