Load testing battery...acceptable #'s?

What are acceptable voltage #'s when load testing a battery? Standing my battery was about 12.7ish and loaded it dropped into the 5's which presumably is WAY below where it should be. Please enlighten me.

Yes, thats low...rule of thumb is that it should stay above 9 volts
