LED Headlight issue
Just installed new headlights in my 94 4x4.Truckmall off of Amazon.I know they are by far not the best.Everything is installed correctly with the aftermarket harness.Grounds are correct, plugs are all correct.I have high beams and low beams.I now have no high beam indicator.Anyone know what may be going on?
Thanks in advance.Looking forward to learning a lot from the forums.

I had the same problem after LED install. After some googleing I put this resistor in between the harness and the headlight on one side only:

Solved it for me. I think it has something to do with lower current consumption...like when you add LED blinkers without a built in resistor and get the rapid blinking like a bulb is out, but I'm not really an expert when it comes to why it works. I have an '85, so may or may not be the same fix for your truck.

Thanks. That will be an option. Also after doing a search I found that one person changed the indicator light to an LED.That kind of has me worried because it may generate to much heat and melt.

I have had an LED indicator in all of my indicator lights and had no issues, the one that would be on the most would be the brake light if idling and next would be the 4WD indicator, the high beams are on rarely for me and even if you have yours on for long periods on dark back roads I don’t see it being an issue. Halogen lights are quite hot and I don’t see LED’s running any hotter especially for the tiny indicator LED’s.
