Interior reverse light?

I was thinking it would be nice to have brighter reverse lights, but after thinking about it I decided I'd like to mount it/them inside the rear hatch.
If it/they were mounted in the top corners, hanging down from the roof on some sort of flexible mount, I could use it to light up the cargo area, behind the truck for camping etc. (with either the window or the hatch open) and by rollling down the window a couple inches, I'd have reverse lights.
My only concern is, is there anything to mount it to there? I'm thinking I would need something a little more solid than the plastic trim. They would be wired to a switch, and have constant power so I can use them with the truck off as well. I'm electrically retarded, but there are enough write ups here to help me along. Any thoughts? Potential issues?
Any ideas where I could pick up a flexible mount?

If you mount them inside of the hatch and dont roll down the window you will get a bad glare off of the glass.

While driving home last night I discovered another potential use: anti-tailgating feature! Probably illegal to use while driving on the freeway but...it would make a tailgater back off!

I'm disappointed the new Toyotas haven't implemented a light in the back yet. In the late 1980s, the fords had a white light on either side of the brake light above the back window that you can turn on by twisting a knob on the dash. It provides a lot of light in the back. Twenty years later, Toyota still hasn't caught on.

i used to have really bright lights mounted on ym rear bumper of my f150 that could be switched on/off with a switch or by puttin it in reverse. I loved them for towing my sandrail....i could flip them on every now and then and make sure it was still towing alright and nothing fell off without stopping. They were also great for when putting the boat back on the trailer in the dark. alot easier to make sure its on there straight.
