I have two 1990 4 runners with the 3vzemotor and we are building one of them (and using the other for spare parts) for Baja racing in the BITD series. My question is can we ditch the computer and still use the ignition system. Will it stand alone. The fuel injection is leaving also for a custom weber carb setup. Any input would be appreciated. I did talk to somebody that did this on a 1987 truck with a 4 cylinder. Next question is if this isn't possible then can the computer be tuned or is it not tunable.
