Fixed my dome lamp (94 truck)
#1
The dome light (aka cab light or interior light, etc) wasn't working in my 1994 toyota truck, so I finally got tired of it. Lots of posts suggest checking the light itself, fuses, looking for a buzzer box or checking that the light is plugged in. All of that checked out fine for me and it still wasn't working.
With a little investigation with my multimeter, I found that the rivets connecting the conducting wires to the lamp terminals weren't conducting well. They were actually coming loose as you can see in the "Before" inset below. I tried soldering them, but the solder alone wouldn't stick, so I soldered/jammed in some extra wire. It's not terribly pretty, but it works!
I hope my experience helps someone else!
ETA: Sorry for the large image, but the details help. =)
