elec. inverter?

I'm trying to turn my 1988 4runner into mobil office. Any advice on:

Power inverter to charge laptop, conventional home electronics, etc?

Heater for turned off car?

Way to lift the removeable top (ala vw bug pop top bus)?

Thanks!!!

If you're going to be powering a heater with your car turned off for any amount of time, consider installing a second battery (deep cycle) to run your accessories. connect the second battery to your alternator through a battery isolator... otherwise, you could find yourself stranded with a car that won't start due to a drained battery.

I agree with the second battery. I would probably get a 1000w inverter if you are going to run multiple devices. I have a 400W and it runs my laptop and a battery charger without a problem but something with as much load a heater would require some juice.

BTW anything over 400W should be hardwired in and not use the cigarette lighter. IMO.

I bought a laptop stand at a police surplus auction. Its came out of a crown vic but mounted nicely in my runner.

sounds like you just need a generator.
