Alt b+ wire issues 94 3.0 runner

Ok my runner was having issues with the bat wire on alt

I figured the wire had gone bad
So I replaced it all the way to fuse block

I now have 2 issues

1 issue is the runner is auto and shifter is locked

2 issue after about 1 hour driving the soldered terminal at alt let go of the wire

Why is the heat so much to melt solder

Any ideas or help

What size wire did you use ??

Once you get to 8 gauge wire most connections are crimped.

The trans being locked could be due to a blown fuse you did have the battery disconnected.

I don`t have a Auto Trans so my knowledge is limited.:jessica:
