All dash lights stay on after starting

So, my wife's friend has a 2006 4runner Sr5 w/ a v6. Last weekend all the dash lights came on and stayed on after starting it. When she starts the car the headlight switch is off and the check engine light is on. The traction lights comes on 2-3 seconds later I have not had a chance to try and disconnect the battery to reset the ecm yet but that was my first thought. I did a search but nothing like this came up so any help would be great. Thank you in advance for any info!

I had a similar issue while trying to sort out an alternator issue; might it be the alternator going bad? (Mine was wired in wrong- my bad) Or weak battery, or bad ground. Check the ground wire from the battery, and check the posts for corrosion. Can't check that often enough. I ran a new ground, which helped.
