I installed new bulbs in my foglights about 4 months ago, all has been working great til last week. I notice my foglight were not on anymore even though the switch was on.

I replaced the fog light relay but that did not solve anything. Where else should I be looking? The relay clicks like it should when the light switch is turned on.

Could both new bulbs go bad at the same time? Any help is much appreciated.

 

Check the fuses. Did you put in the correct wattage bulb? Higher wattage bulbs could blow your fuses. If the fuses are OK, check to make sure that you have power at the fuses when the switch is turned on and the relay is energized. If you do, then check to see if you have power at the connectors right at the fog light. If you do, then try a new bulb.

PS. Instead of replacing the relay, you could have tested it quite easily. Not a big deal for a cheap part like that, but anything that can be checked should be checked before replacing - just my opinion.

 

I have the same problem with my 2003 tundra. replaced original lamps with silverstars
they worked very well for 2 months last week both went out at the same time.
the fuses are good not sure about the relays. I do have an ohm meter what should I check?
