I have issues with the rear window in my 91 runner. It won't roll up ur down. When I push the rear window lock button, it kills the engine. I tried the rear wiper seating thing and no help. I am about to try jumping the blue and green wires in the rear window wiper motor. Any other ideas? I googled and searched youtube and have not seen the issue of the lock button killing the engine. Thanks

 

there is no rear window lock button as far as I know. just an up/down button on the center console and if it kills the engine you have issues! any recent wiring been done? is your battery voltage so low that activating anything kills the motor?

 

Voltage is fine. I jumped the blue and green wires from the rear wiper motor and now the window rolls up and down. Will get another lock button at the junk yard and try that unles someone has any ideas.

 

Interesting, I don't remember those, my 95 doesn't have one.

 

Is that just for the rear window. Or is it for the child window locks? Don't know, I have never had a 2nd gen runner, just have them on lots of other rigs.
