so my window motor runs but it doesnt move wont roll down i pulled it apart and cant figure out why any suggestions ???

 

I had a similar problem with my '90 4Runner. It ended up being the relays in the rear window control unit (driver side rear under the plastic panel). I picked up new relays from Radio Shack (about $4 each) and soldered them in and the window has worked perfectly ever since.
But my window ran slowly/didn't run. There wasn't anything wrong mechanically with my window. Took my forever to find out that the relays where bad.

If your motor spins but nothing moves .

You can`t see any damage like the arms of the regulator popped out of the track.

I would say just a guess that the drive gear on the motor is stripped or broken.

Now if the motor just grunts but does not move I would look at the regulator being rusty and in need of some attention.
