88 Toyota pickup

My dash lights won't come on when I try to turn them on. What do I need to check?

Check the dimmer switch... mine acts funky and there's a few positions that it goes black in. I hope you've already checked the fuse...

Ya I've checked the fuse and the wires to the dimmer switch

You pulled the dimmer switch plug and jumpered it and the lights still didn't work?

No I haven't I just made sure they weren't loose but ill try that
