85 head light on a 90

My passenger low beam does not work and I was wondering if a 85 4runner headlight housing would work on 90 4runner.

Is it the same housing size? Are they both sealed beam
Or is one just a housing with a replaceable bulb? If it fits in the same spot and plugs up it should work. If its not
A sealed beam from the 90 I'd replace both sides for equal lighting.

Iirc they are all the same sealed beam headlights up until the Tacomas and 3rd gen 4Runners came out in 95.5/96.

both those vehicles were originally equipped with sealed beams that were disposable when burnt out. one big, 5x7" square bulb.

you're calling it a housing, which is making it a little confusing. the later 90s trucks had headlight capsules, which HOUSED a small halogen bulb inside.

so unless someone has done some changes to the configuration of either truck, they should both have H6054 sealed beams. if one's halogen and one's not, you'll notice the difference, but they'll still work.

they also cost like $5
