3rd 4r gen wire harness

3rd 4r gen wire harness
Let all the magic smoke out from under the dash on my 2000 (3rd gen) 4Runner. Many of the wires in the main harness have teh insulation melted off. Looking for a doner or source for replacement.

Pretty simple Buy a new one!! From your dealer or online Toyota parts.
Go used local or online.
The question is just what caused this?? Install a new one watch that one melt.
What else has been damaged??

Well duh - the simple and obvious - also about $4K at your dealer and maybe $3K can be found on line. Little rich to start with.
Cause? - dealer tech says passenger door window switch short. Real question is why the fuse didn't blow.
So, looking for a doner vehicle - aka junker/parts supplier - to get that harness if anyone has one or knows of one near PHX.
Also lookiing for the 20004R wiring diagram - or a link. found a 1999 which may be close enough
