Hey guys I was wondering what it took to use the 92 22re engine harness and Ecu and putting it into the 91 4runner originally with a 3.0. I noticed the plugs that connect the body harness and engine harness are similar but not exact. Can I just splice the two together by color matching or do I need to figure out exactly what wires are doing what. Thanks I attached pictures of the plugs from both

Find the correct plug for the ECU for the22Re having both EWD`s the one from the engine donor vehicle (93) and the 3.0 (91 ) and repin the plug for the 22re ECU

Matching wire colors might work if your really lucky my luck is not that good.

Some people will get the plug and cut it out with enough wire to splice and merge the two harnesses .

In any case a nice quiet place one wire at a time
