2005 Sienna Rear Sliding Door

The right rear sliding door on my 2005 Sienna XLE will open with the switches and the remote but will only close manually. What's up and how can I fix it?

by manually do you mean literally pulling the door, or just using the switch (handle) on the door, and it closes on its own.

Its a common problem, any mechanic can correct it but I think that toyota has a recall on them.

What you will need to do is...

1. Lock the sliding doors with the button on the dash Do not use the door lock button on the door.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal end.
3. After about 30 sec, reattach the negative terminal end.
4. Turn the veh to on, DO NOT START THE VEH
5. Push the unlock button the sliding door from part 1.
6. Open the sliding doors at the same time 3 times. Let the door open and close fully three time.
7. Start the veh and the door ECU has been reset.

Hope this will help...

There is no recall on the doors, there is a TSB for the sliding door locks rattling and they updated the warranty for the front door checks breaking.
