My son purchased a 1987 Toyota pickup basketcase - really had a head gasket problem but was taken apart.
We have the head fixed and back on but I cannot find 12 volts at the igniter.
I have 12 volts at the ignition switch, but not at the IGN fuse on the fuse panel at the drivers feet.
I wanted to find where the 12volts should be at the igniter and see if I can supply 12 volts to see if we get spark.
There is a 2 wire connector that appears to be the proper place after looking at the wiring diagrams. In the picture below the green connector that is not capped is where I believe the hot wire should be.

Is that the right place for the hot wire? Does anyone know which one is hot? Do you know what the other one is?
Yes it s a 22R (and from an earlier year or modified with the dual width timing chain). But from what I have seen a 22R was available in 87. It is possible a past owner changed the wiring harness as well.
