Yes, it's a little high for me.
Would ditching the BL and running 35's bring it down to a respectable height?
I'm also curious on the mirrors/door handles. Painted or came on the truck like that?
Also the flares, Stock or aftermarket?
Guess I'll be doing more google searches today.

Don't hate.....just because the owner likes to take care of his stuff doesn't call for your stereotyping.

Yes, ditching the body lift and running 35s would lower it considerably.
The mirrors/door handles either came like that or were painted.
The fender flares look like bushwacker's extend-a-fender.

Hows this for stereotyping, I bet if that thing saw half the trails I do with my nearly stock truck on 33's, that thing wouldn't look pretty no more, because it would be sitting on it's lid. SO one would think that it's safe to assume, the owner takes care of his truck to look good at the mall. I'd be also willing to bet the owner of that truck has no nuts to take that thing down some of the trails I take mine down.

That high SOG is ok as long as he can flex out that suspension and completely tuck those tires. Somehow I highly doubt those tires will stuff in those fenderwells enough to keep the body of that truck level, if they did, then all of his work taking care of that truck to look good at the mall would all be for not as he'd have no fenders left.

Only thing that kind of setup is good for other then the mall is a mud bog, but something tells me other then the puddles on the way to the mall, that thing doesn't see an ounce of mud.

Who cares what he does with his truck?
HE owns it.
HE built it.
HE put HIS money into it.
So why should YOUR opinion matter about HIS truck?

Doesn't make it any less stupid.

I take care of my truck too, but because it looks like hell because I use it as a play toy, I must not take care of it? That whole statement about the other guy stereotyping the owner of the truck is just stupid, because he did it himself.

And not once did I say I didn't like these things.

Actually it did, it lets the P.O. know why you would and wouldn't want to set up a truck with the same lift and tire size spec. If you do, nothing wrong with that, but don't expect to be able to wheel it. Mud Bogs would just about be the extent of it. And almost every crawler I know hates mud puddles let alone bogs. Just for the simple fact you have to take care of your truck even more, due to more maintenance.

Sorry, didn't mean to swat the hornets nest. I guess it's a bit of a peeve for me, huge lifted trucks that obviously see as much dirt as a prius does. Kinda like whoever drives it is constantly shouting "Hey look at what I can afford, I'm better than everyone else."

What would people be saying if the OP posted this instead?

When I look at this Toyota, I see this Chevy in my mind. Sure its clean, I'm sure the owner takes pride in that. But there is a line that is crossed somewhere along the way. Like I said before, it's usually the high school kids that like to show off how much money mommy and daddy have, and just screams look at me. Maybe it is a stereotype, but thats how I feel.

If his truck sees as much dirt as my prius I'd be surprised.

I was just gathering info, so when I build a truck, I have some sort of plan. Looking at the truck in question I had no idea on what tire size it had, but was aware of the BL. Also I knew it had a SAS, but no idea on lift height. I also liked the flares and "blackout" look of the truck.
I won't go that high even if I don't drive it off-road. That looks like it will have too much body roll during normal driving.
Are sway bars reused during a SAS?

Question who's truck is this?

Yo momma's!

That's why it also needs the 3" body lift to clear those tires. Because when she's in it, THERE IS NO 5" SUSPENSION LIFT ANYMORE!!!

I'd have to disagree, my girlfriend is 250+ lbs and I still clear my 33's with no lift but a torsion crank when both us us are in the truck.

Is this becoming a "how much suspension lift do i need to accommodate driver and passenger weight?" :/
