Played "dukes of hazzard" on a dirt road, ended up flipping my first 4x4 (87 p/u) that I had gotten less than a month prior. truck was sliding sideways at about 50 mph, and I flipped it.



This was taken at my house right after driving it 2 miles there. Truck was a champ and started right back up after sitting on it's side for 20 minutes. Should have pulled the plugs but that engine was toast anyway. If that hadn't happened I wouldn't have my 85 4runner, so it wasn't too bad of a deal. I learned my lesson.

 

Almost missed a turn coming off the highway doing about 50, so I hit the brakes and ended up doing a four wheel drift onto the road. If I didn't have tires that have no grip, I woulda rolled...got my adrenaline pumping good...

Haha drifting seams to be the going trend around here. Well I'd like to say that I've only done stupid stuff when I was younger but my stupidest/scariest thing actually happened recently... So my fiance and I are following her brother and his friend home (they're in a mini cooper). So first stupid thing is we approach pretty high speed because we're both jockying to stay in front of eachother, some people might want to call it street racing. We got to the last turn before our house and he takes the corner at like 40 (he only was ahead because he got over quicker and I didn't want to cut him off) I in my awesomeness go "he can do it why can't i" so i take the corner at like 35 knowing that if I overshoot the turn it's fine because I'll just slide in the dirt, correct and bring it back to the asphalt. Well i did in fact "sled" through the turn, end up getting sideways in the dirt so I end up back on the asphalt still sideways (this is where I peed my pants) and then crossed the road, hit a curb and jumped back into another dirt lot... I finally came to a stop, Tasha was so scared she wasn't even mad (that was weird) and i slowly idled home, doing my best to act like i had everything under control the whole time... lol doh! Needless to say, I don't go fast or turn hard these days...

On a lighter note, dang that horse did some damage! ^^^^

 

LOL... joe thats funny im surprised she didnt kick your ass... if i had been her, i prob would have, LOL. ..then laughed about it later. scariest thing to me was when my buddy (in a geo metro) decided to pass someone on the road in the oncoming lane, so we pull around the guy, and RIGHT around the corner, a BIGASS 18 wheeler comes flyin around. jesus, that was worse than being chased out of proctor valley in my old 66 chevy... (if you dont know bout that go read that thread about big foot). oh, and the metro didnt make it, the semi clipped it on the back and the metro went rolling. amazingly we were all fine, the truck driver laughed and said 'stop bein dumb' and took off... lol.
