What is the tool he should be using?

jaw gear puller, watch out on the center bolt, as i have seen they have a tendency to strip under to much force. i think our store is on number 8 or9 for the tool rental.

Well, he got the first one out with it... it's this second one that is proving to be hard... everything is closed by now- thank goodness church isn't until noon!

I don't think we're going anywhere anytime soon.

A tierod pickle fork( not one for bj's its too wide), and a bfh, once the pickle fork is wedged in good, hit where the bj goes into the knuckle a couple times, it should pop out after a couple good smacks.

soak with PB blaster? Then put on jaw puller, put on tension, SMACK with bfh, continue to tighten, SMACK...rinse, repeat. Should pop off easy! lol!

Well... the issue is that he's been drilling the thing for 3 hours.

I think it probably no longer resembles a ball joint fellas. I could probably bet money on that, actually...

If you have a pickle fork large enough, bolt it back up and go to town on it with said bfh..

He said he's boring the ball joint out, it's up in there on the tie rod apparently so he's just trying to bore it out.

That could take a while, thats some hard metal in there. give the PB a shot, soak it good, come back to it in an hour or so and soak it some more, then hit hard.
