After searching a bunch on toyodiy, it seems the 2L-TE engine was only for the japanese domestic market. There’s a bunch of jdm vehicles that use that engine but only the Hilux around 1990-1995 are 4WD and available in manual transmission.
It should be from a LN130G or LN130W which means it’s either an R150F or R151F.
The transfer adapter looks like the G58 in the 1995 4Runner FSM but the G58 was only on the gas engines.
i don’t think there’s a visual difference for R150/1 transmissions but the gear ratios for 1st/2nd are different so it’ll be easy to check.
