2011 Kia Soul!

i am very excited, its the first New car i've ever bought. signed papers this evening and we (ashley did, since we drove the big runner to go looking) drove it home! i know its not a yoter but it will still haul all my gear and get 30+ mpg..

 

Looks really nice Tofer... KIAs are actually a very well made car... my Mom has an 02 Rio that she got brand new (only has about 45k on it)... and my dad has an 04 Sorento he picked off lease... both are excellent vehicles... the only negative I'd have to comment on is spares availability... some of the parts are harder to get here... to whit my mom needs a new oil pan and the thing is going to be back ordered for two weeks.

it took me awhile to like the soul but its growing on me. how much room is there in the back?

 

there is actually quite a bit of space in the back.. thats part of the reason i bought it. i can still get a 4ft ladder, all my tools and network cable boxes in for cabling projects for work... and still gets 27-30 mpg.

2 weeks and 850 miles later i still love the car.. i've caught some flack from my friends and coworkers but it doesnt bother me any, i've really never been one who cares what others think.. everyone who has sat in the car is amazed on how big it is on the inside. i'm 6'1 and i have 4-5" of head room and i'm more than comfortable sitting in it. the range per tank is about 50miles more then the 4runner is and its a $40 fill up instead of a $67 one.. I've done some calculation and i went from $0.28 per mile with the big runner to $0.14 with the soul.

Couple hours in the driveway earlier this week (when we had a whole day of sunshine) with the with some SpeedShine, paint Claybar, one-step sealant and the high-speed random orbital from Griots Garage....





i have a tint kit coming for the rear tail lights to smoke them out, and i will be doing 20% tint all around once i get some cash.

 

A friend of mine bought one a couple of months ago,and she loves it.No problems so far except the closest dealership is a hour and 45mins away.

 

looks good Tofer except for that funny looking thing on the door in that last pic... don't worry though it should buff right out... I kill me....

They turned up when i was reading about cars for tall people. They seem well liked.

 

rolled 1000 miles within the first 2.5 weeks


got a couple things done to it a couple weeks ago.

3rd brake light decal.


and i tinted my tail lights and the reflectors.





got the windows tinted over the weekend... 5% up front and 20% in the rears on top of the factory tint made a perfect match.

 

Looks good tofer but how is the view of the side mirrors at night with that dark tint?

shoulda gone for a heart out line with "wifey" in the middle... mighta got you a sloppy kiss or three...
that all polished black needs some ghost flames...

 

i like it blacked out except now the wheels stick out. any plans on powder coating or paintins or heck replacing them

 

I see a lot of these around, I like them.
