Anyone know of a way I can keep my hi-lift jack from sliding back and forth in my roof rack mount? The mount is about 3" wider than the jack and the jack slides back and forth ask I drive. I was thinking of putting in rubber blocks, but I can't find anything like that.
I'm not sure if you can see in this picture, but the mounts are way wider than the jack bar.
I would look into wrapping a cable with a lock around it and the rack for security and the movement issue
Just looked at the mount pics, easy fix is to cut tubing for spacers

Some sort of bumper padding, tubing or rubber. Depending on area you live X2 on securing it. You may not stop a thief but "will help keep an honest man honest."
get a piece of redwood or HDPE plastic, the thickness of the gap, and simply drill a hole in it for the bolt to pass through. That should solve the movement, then I'd Plasti-dip the brackets themselves so they're isolated with rubber from making noise.
