VW Taro

I know this has been posted before, but I was wondering if anyone here has one or has more info on them. Was it just the pickups or the 4Runner/Surf as well?
Any options on the VW that we're missing out on.

Way back when toyota and VW made a deal, vw would sell the hilux trucks rebaged as a vw, they would give toyota portions of the profits. I think they where only selling it in a certain area that toyota couldnt afford to bring the hilux too.

I remember reading a big article about the toyota history, cant remember the website for the life of me unfortunatly.

Yeah, as neat and indestructable as the 2lt is, it's a pretty gutless motor, the 22RE is alot better. But yes, a 4dr 2nd Gen(PU) would be sweet.

And to answer the original question, they wereall P/U's I belive, and they came in 4wd...
