Check to see if the 00 has the TRD package, you get the bigger tires, better suspension and the much coveted E-locker. There will bve a switch to the left of the steering wheel if it has the locker. Which dealership? Most have a web site. Good luck.

i talked to my mom and she said that the 00 needs body work, and hes firm on 12 for it, idk why if it needs body work, also its gonna be easier to get a loan for the 98, what should i look for on the 98 since it has 123thousand on it, what all should i do to it maintence wise, it will pass MD inspection, which is one of the toughest ones, but should i just do the same ole as with anything else, Fluids, plugs, wires ect. thanks for any advice. and the comment about living in fox holes.............w/e, it aint right to joke bout stuff like that, tell that same thing to any salty marine just back from the sand box, and let me know what happens............lmao......................

If there is no records then change all fluids, a good tuneup, it will probably need new shocks, belts and hoses.
