transfer case gears
my truck is a bunch of pieces from years 79-88. my question is does anyone know if there are transfer case gear setup available that would basically turn my high range into 2to1 and my low range into 4to1?? i would need them both to change, not just one or the other. my goal here is to avoid changing differential gears. i like the stock 4.10s because they are strong and plentiful. i used to run aftermarket gears in one of my old trucks and i used to break teeth all the time. i would rather change the transfer case gears out and risk stress on the driveline than blowing $500 everytime i break a gearset.

Gears aren't available, but you could do dual cases giving you 1:1, 2.28:1, and 5.2:1.

All that said, 4.10's aren't exceptionally strong, but the factory setups are good and that makes up for a lot of it.

if i got one of their crawler boxes it would go between my trans and current transfercase, correct?? and it would allow me to run the 2.28 crawler box down the road with my transfer case in normal high but it would come out 2.28 correct??
