Which Toyota?
#21
It's fine when it's just her in the back - but as soon as the girlfriend jumps in the front seat Haven's feet get pushed up against the back of the seat.
Now that I think about it thought - we don't usually take my truck on trips.
Constance has an Element and we usually take that.
Maybe the back seat won't be so bad.

I have been thinking about a new 4 dr Taco, love those trucks. If I didnt drive as much I would go FJ. I bet that was no help, but I think I like to talk! As long as its a Yota, you cant really go wrong.

haha stick with wut u got..i mean how can u beat savin all that equity/credit?
if it really is the new family that drives your decisions now as you say then wont they be happier with you being a saver..or maybe buying something they are interested in? trust me a 2 year old could give a crap what she drives in{teenagers a different story}
id say save for awhile and then include your new family in the conversation instead of us bums...wut do they wanna do in it? wut kinds of things are important to them in a vehicle?..wut is their favorite color..etc etc...not only that but if u save for awhile instead of playing then maybe you can afford 2 vehicles in the future..one for their needs and one for yours..haha idk..jus my 2cents worth not knowin you an all..

Keep the '07...
You bought a Toyota for their legendary reliability, so why buy a new one every year and a half? Plus, you aren't doing your bank account any favors by buying a new vehicle right now, which you already know and have stated.
My feeling is that your current truck is not different enough from the '09 to really justify trading up for one.
As far as Tundra's go... I would steer clear personally. JD Power has ranked the V6 Camry and Tundra 5.7L 4x4 at below average on quality. I'm inclined to agree... I see you work at a dealership. Go to the used car lot and find a 00-06 Tundra, and sit in it and just take a minute to see/feel th einterior components. Then, go sit in an '08. You'll understand what I mean.

Chris, if you keep your present rig and want to send it to Germany for a conversion, it would look like this

I love my Tacoma - best truck I've ever owned, I'm just wishing I had gone with the side air bags and that I actually used as a truck.
Thanks for your input!
They feel too much like a car and the interior does nothing for me.
They're scheduled to be re-designed in the next few years but given that I have no idea what they will look like and the fact that I don't really like the new 4Runners right now - I'd rather go with something that completely fits what I need it to do.
That is a good point though, and I did demo a couple 4Runners.
I also demo'd a Camry - man are they nice, but I gotta have a 4x4.
How have you been man?
Have you started at Central yet?
I stopped by the bank yesterday afternoon around 4:00, I was in Fayetteville getting contacts for Constance and stopped by to say hi but I guess you had already left.
We all need to go out sometime and get some food and drinks or whatever.

I see what you're saying though.
As far as my family goes, they love the FJ and don't have a preference on color.
It's got the water-resistant seats and rubber flooring so it doesn't get much better than that for child-resisting.

She's got an Element that is she is way upside-down on, there is no way we're getting out of that thing anytime soon.

I see what you're saying about the Tundra's but to be honest - I thought the '08 felt incredibly solid, compared to what everybody was saying about them.
The one thing I wish ALL newer vehicles had, and a reason why I love the FJ, is the manual transfer case lever versus the electronic options. I like to be able to feel it and be in control of it versus relying on a relay under the hood to do it for me.
There are more electronics and plastic pieces in them than they had in the older models but I think they did a good job with it.
Thanks again for all the input guys, keep it coming.
NOW HEAR THIS
I just got word from Jacque (member trdparts4u.com here on YT) that Toyota of Dallas has 2009 FJ's ON THE LOT.
I am very excited - I still haven't decided what I'm going to do yet but right now, I am leaning more towards an FJ as long as the numbers work out close enough.
I'll keep you all posted!
