Apply for a lost title.

Or contact the guy you bought it from and have him get in contact with whoever..

Moral of the story you shoulda looked at it better when you got it...

Wow, I'm going thru the SAME EXACT situation. I filled out a form online for a "bonded title" and have to take it back into the MVD. You get a bonded title and after 3 years you can get a normal title. It costs 1.5% of the vehicles value to be determinded by the MVD and the minimum fee is $75. This is for AZ though. Your state might be different. I plan to keep my truck for a long time so having a bonded title for 3 years isn't a big deal for me.

Yeah, I think they charge the same 1.5% fee as well. I'm just glad there is something I/you can do about it. I'm going down tomorrow to turn my application in for a bonded title and to transfer another out of state title into my name, hoping there are no surprises with that one.

Look here this is all the Ga. requirements. You got an 86? if Fla is like Ga next year you wont need a title. http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/motor/titles/ so if your not gonna sell the truck in thre next few months you wont need a tiltle when you sell it. all you will need is a bill of sale. If Fla is like Ga. if you were in Ga i wouldnt even worry about it. Try and find your Fla site like the Ga site i posted

I went down to the MVD today and they said if I can get the guy to give me a notarized bill of sale they can transfer it straight into my name. Now I just have to get ahold of the guy, which has been the hard part for me.
