Tire Reviews

ok guys..since my super swampers are starting to wear out its time for new tires...i do NOT feel safe riding on long trips with these..thats how bad it is..i can basically get any kind of tire i want...but i dont want to go over board and buy some $1000 tires...would like to keep it under $600..lol or close to it..

im going tomorrow to a few tire shops to talk to them and look at their selections but i want to hear some reviews from you guys first..

im going to go with a M/T for sure..i gotta have a tire that i can trust will get me through anything i wanna take it in..just like my swampers did and still do..(offroad im VERY confident with them..but on road not so much)

i will be doing alot of highway driving...college starts soon so yea..but in the mean time..(in my spare time..which wont be much) i will be going fishin and huntin..and of course trail ridin a little bit..almost the ONLY thing i see is MUD...OCCASIONALLY some sand..but not often..i will usually have my gf with me so i do not want to be gettin stuck anywhere with a dang A/T tire..lol

im GUESSING my driving will be about %60 highway and %40 offroad/dirtroads/loggin trails..

so i'll need something with good tread life like the Firestone Destination M/T or the BFG M/T's..

both tires are EXCEPTIONAL in all aspects..but are a little out of my price range unfortunately..*edit* just checked out the Firestone M/T's on tirerack..and they are only $148

i'll probably be told to search (which i did)..but o well

right now im looking at
(all 31x10.50's)
MasterCraft Courser M/T
Federal Couragia M/T
Definity Dakota M/T
Medalist Mud King X/T

and then of course any tire i find tomorrow..lol..i've heard good things about the Federal Couragia M/T about being GREAT offroad and exceptional onroad..and they seem to be fairly cheap..

the Definity's are cheap too but i have heard some poor tread life stories..lol

i'd like to have input on what you guys HAVE or HAD on your present or Past vehicles..im just looking for a GOOD M/T with good tread life (close to 40,000 or so???)

o ya..sorry for the long freakin post..lmao

If you have the time, my advice would be to wait for a good deal on some used tires. Used 31s and 33s seem to come up super often on here, pirate, ttora, marlin forums, etc.

If I were buying any brand new mud, I would probably go with the new BFG KM2. I've heard nothing but good things about those tires.

i recently found a set of procomp X-terrains (full set of 4 all with LOTS of tread) for $350..but idk if i will be able to get the money in time..lol

im gonna check out the federal Couragia's next time im by the shop that sells them..i seen em online for fairly cheap..and im hoping that the tire shop will be close to the same price..lol..

i would still rather have the almost brand new X-terrains..i looked em up online..almost $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..and this guy is lettin em go for $350 with well over half tread left..
