Tire disposal

Tire disposal
I'm trying to figure out how I can afford a set of tires for my truck when something good like BFG's cost a whole paycheck (half the price of the truck) and the cheapos still ring in at $600. (265/75/16s)
Then I was looking for a set of used BFGs or Goodyear MTRs or something and noticed a lot of people selling 2 tires with decent to horrible tread remaining. One of my tires is in BAD shape, 1 in okay, and 2 in good shape.
Do any of you avoid the tire disposal fee and just keep them and sell them online? If I got $50 out of the 2 in good shape or whatever, that's way better than paying $8 to dispose them.

I got a set of BFG 33x 12.50's for 690 bucks. I would be happy to get you a set and send them to you but I am sure shipping would eat up any savings on the price.
You didn't say what size you are looking for. I have a set of 31x10.50's that I took off when I got the BFG's. Cheap if you are interested?
