T-case ???

The T-case in my 85 took a dump on me and I need to replace it. I have a forward shift T-case from an 89 sitting on the shelf, will this work on my 85 trans? I know the speedo cable is diffrent, but i'm not sure about the rest.

Any help you guy's could offer would be great!!

Nope, top shift and forward shift are not compatible.

They are both forward shift.

Someone once told me that the shift rails were a different length in the 89 but I don't know if that is correct.

I looked for an old tech article I had that described all the differences, but the link is dead, so I am not sure.
