surface rust on frame
#2
This is pretty highly debated througout the forum.
What I do is sand/scrape it down and then coat in Rustoleum primer followed by a couple of coats of topcoat. This has worked well for me.
My general opinon of POR-15 (based only on reading these forums) is that it is expensive and my not last any longer than the method I use. That said, however, I still want to order their combo pack and try it out for myself.
I think the biggest key is to keep at it. After hunting season finally ends (currently in hog trapping followed by turkey season) I plan on washing everything down and repainting all the small rust places that have developed.
