stupid question.

I have a trailgear 5" sas kit on a 1990 4runner. It set level until i chopped and bobbed it but now it is about 2" higher in the back than the front. Is it possible to add a leaf in the front springs? if so Should i buy an add a leaf or just buy some old masda or toyota spring packs and make my own?

you could add in one longer pack to give some lift although I think the best option is to take the rear down. your not going to want that height wheeling. the lower you can keep it with big tires the better. When I chopped my roof in the rear I removed a pack in the back and it sits just about perfect I think I want to take a front pack out too

BTW to add a leaf your going to need a longer spring pin but you cn pick that up at NAPA

I would sugest adding in one of the lower packs like the 2nd or 3rd but not the bottom overload

Thats what a is for

You can make 42's fit with little height by cutting fenders, moving the front forward and having more limiting uptravel bumpstops. Also keep in mind 42's will rub the spring paks in front and reduce the turning radius. Your gonna need a pretty good size BS to accomidate.

Your probably going to want to move that rear back too unless you plan on cutting a good chunck out of the back seat area

I want some 42's

I alread trimmed lol. I bought myself a plasma cutter for my birthday so i cut out the rear fenders a ton. My 38.5 boggers dont hit my springs and i have no bumpstops and cant touch my body. In 3 months a kid i buying most of my sas stuff and i am going to a 4 link and air shocks.
