Something smells bad when I accelerate???

I just had my cv boots replaced, and new boots and clamps put on after the boot split and puked grease all over my A- arm and that grease would fly back and hit my exhaust and burn causing a hot burning windex smell. So I got it fixed but there is no grease hitting the pipe anymore and I still can smell it when I accelerate hard onto the freeway. Any ideas what else it might be.

There isn't any grease dripping that I can see but it still stinks like hot windex when I accelerate hard.

Do you have grease slinging out of a u-joint or an axle seal leaking gear oil? Hard to say without seeing it.

I had the cv axels rebuilt and there doesn't seem to be any more leaking.

Are you sure it's not exhaust i.e. sulfur?

Red face

After the repair did you pressure wash the bottom of the truck??

You could have grease dripping down for the next few months.
