I got my 3rd issue a week ago and the FJ article was great! Only one problem-I've already memorized it cover to cover!

For the corrections department-the 1st gen 4Runner shown jumping dunes that says it's only 2wd has Warn Manual Hubs on the front.

If you haven't subscribed yet, you don't know what your missing...read on...

The latest issue, March/April 2006, is at the printer! You can see the
new cover here:

http://www.4wdtoyotaowner.com

A Hawai'ian named Jesse pilots his IFS Tacoma over a nasty, rutted
section of the Peacock Flats trail. Our editor Pete Parks went to the
islands and joined the madness--read his story for what it's like to wheel
over jagged, tire-slicing lava fields too.

Also on the cover is the Expeditions West Tacoma and an FJ40 with sweet
four-link rear suspension setup. Yes, he's rolling on 18" wheels in
that photo, but goes to beadlocks in the hardcore stuff.

In the new issue we have a Project FZJ80 Land Cruiser with the
controversial Man-A-Fre 4" drop bracket lift kit, a supercharged, Lexus
V8-equipped FJ55, a gigantic where-to-wheel sand and dunes feature, Moab TTORA
action, how to build an on-board shower, the All-Pro Off-Road Jamboree
at the Hammers, and much, much more! If you haven't subscribed, what
are ya waiting for? Don't miss the next issue at any cost. Go to the
website to see how to subscribe--it's easy!

We're always looking for nicely built Toyotas to do features on, so if
you have one, send in a couple of pics and some info and we'll contact
you soon!

Many thanks to everyone who continue to support 4WD Toyota Owner--every subscriber and advertiser alike.
We'll see you on the trail! Until next time,

Dave

Dave, what do I need to do to get my address changed on you all's mailing list?

I didn't get the last issue, but maybe the guys where I used to live haven't thrown it out. Hope not.

It's cheap enough as it is. They are the best Toyota game in town. Just cough up the $20 and help support them.

Gee, great for you! Maybe you can get free membership to the Blue Ribbon Coalition, Tread Lightly and any other organization who might actually do something toward keeping the trails open.

Glad to see you have your priorities straight! Maybe you should change your user name to "SomethingForNothing"!

What'd you get Rob, for your feature in the magazine? You get a free 4WDT0 license plate like HotRod magazine gives to its feature cars? A free subscription? Some free sample product demos?

None of the above. I am a paid subscriber and I purchased the extra back issues I needed for family/friends I knew it wasn't a paying gig going into it and I was fine with that since I support what they are trying to accomplish.

The exposure has since resulted in some interesting leads, but I got nothing from the mag itself.

Must not giggle...must not giggle.... Oh forget it. Well said, Rob

On a more serious note, personally as someone who enjoys the outdoors: surfing, climbing, mt biking, off roading, etc., I think it is the responsibility of those who use the waves, routes, trails, etc. to actively pursue the care and protection of said enviroments. As a member of the Access fund, the Surfrider foundation, and Tread Lightly!, my money's where my mouth is. I am so glad that Corey and the Admin have made this forum free, but with all the money it has saved me, how could I think of NOT supporting it in some way? It's the same thing with the magazine. Spend the 20 bucks, seriously. Support the Toyota offroading community and those who are trying to provide products that will enhance our sport. Rant mode off.

Thanks! I was going to mention the fact that the guy wasn't a contributor here either, but I figured my point was already made.
