Mine was in the mail when I got home today. I haven't done anything more than flip through a couple pages but the content and the quality look great. I'm pretty excited to dig into it.

Constructive Criticism
I was discussing the mag w/ bamachem yesterday and looking at my Premiere Issue of 4WDTO and there is just something about it, I can't put my finger on it that just doesn't "LOOK" in-store on the shelf magazine quality yet. I even put it up beside all the other publications that I get (all offroad stuff and I get like 8 other magazines) and there is just something about it that looks "less" than the others as far as visual goes...again, I can't place it. Maybe that is what they are going for, but I think whatever this is will hurt them on in-store sales w/ non Toyota nuts like us if not changed/fixed.

I want this magazine to take off and be big time! I fully support 4WDTO as I have the link on my homepage!

well it doesnt have as much ads as the other magazines. Its shorter in pages. but it has a unique look to it. considering that we are in a unique club to begin with.

it has no binding, thats what it is, brian. theres no part on the side where most magazines say like "CAR & DRIVER VOL 51, ISSUE 10"

binding isnt the word im looking for... bah, i cant think of it!

Nope, Petersen's has no side "binding" either...nor do several others I get. Like I said, I just can't put my finger on exactly "what" it is.

hmm...

well i noticed a few typos and some bad quality prints of photos, but i expect thats due to it being the first issue... so im waiting to really judge it like that till the next issue.

youre right to say something though, i want this magazine to take off

Yep, that's why I said something...it needs "tweaking" a bit IMO.

Perception is reality.

Over time, It will continue to improve with more pages and even better quality.

Is anyone still waiting for their premiere issue?
Has anyone not subscribed? If so, i'm curious to know why?

FYI: The first issue will still be included with a subscription!

You might be waiting for an October issue for a while. It's published bi-monthly, so the second issue comes out in November. The third in January and so on...
