Short or long tube header for an 85 22r 2wd
#1
So I've got an 2wd 85 pickup with a 22r. It has a weber 32/36 on it otherwise it's stock. It has stock size tires on it so I was wondering which would be better, short or long tube header. I've been reading about exhaust scavenging and it has enough torque with the stock tires but I want a little more in the mid to high rpm range for highway speeds.

Well I'm not really sure but I have heard of a few guys using pacesetter headers and they have mixed reviews but I'm sure there just fine as long as they bolt up good with no leaks it should b good and I use high temp silicon in between the header flange and gasket and it works great. But do some more searching and you'll find something you want

By the way in running a 22R, weber 32/36, TriY header, crane cams mild cam. Love the setup.

So I went the cheap way and got a pacesetter long tube. I immediately regret it. It came today and the paint is coming off/not high temp paint. Has anyone wrapped their header, and what did you get from that?
