Shocks?
what shocks do you guys think is the best bang for you buck i was looking at getting some RC8000 or RC9000 2-3" lift shocks, does anybody know how long these are like 10" or 12" maybe, i want a decent cheap shock that will give me plenty of flex

If not a longer shock (without doing some modifications to the mounting) isn't going to help you at all and, will in fact, decrease your upward movement, even bottoming out the shock (if you don't extend the bumpstops). Nothing will kill a shock faster than overcompressing it (bottoming it out).
As for shock lengths (extended and collapsed, which you need to know both of the lengths), check the individual shock companies websites. They almost always list the mounting types at both ends, extended and compressed lengths, etc..

First, what kind of truck are we talking about here?
How do you use the truck? How much extra weight have you added (bumpers, winch, sliders, skids, etc)?
Which shocks? All around, just rear?
