So I f-ed up when I went to change the seal on the driver side camshaft. I scratched the surface of the shaft right where the seal lip would sit. I figure its about 1/32" or so in depth. I know the obvious answer would be to change the whole shaft. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and fixed it any other way. I've considered running a weld bead on top and lapping it down. It doesn't seem feasible however. If it helps, its a 94 4runner 3vze.
