scrap 91 or rebuild???
so here is my problem i have a 1991 4runner with 200k miles on it and the body is in very good condition however because it was run without oil it needs a new engine i have about 10 grand to spend and i am not sure if i should buy a newer 4runner (96-02) with between 80k and 120k on it or drop the money into getting a new engine and some sweet rims and tires. i have been unable to make up my mind
any input would be great

Anythings possible, with enough $$$
If you have a 3.0 now, then the 3.4 swap isn't a huge deal. A quick search will turn up tons of treads on guys doing it. There are kits, and not a ton of fab in it.
If you've got a 22RE I'd think about a 3RZ swap. In this case if you didn't want to do a swap, with a 10K budget you could rig up a turbo and actually have the budget to do it right. But seeing that it's a 91, I'm guessing it's a V6.
