I'm looking for ideas on mounting lights on my roof rack and would rather make them than buy the companies $40-50 for 2 tabs...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

You could get the round rings like Four Treks carries.

You can get them from different sources, then add your own hardware to them.
The rings come in various sizes to accommodate different sized tubing.

 

thanks corey those look great! I wanna go a little cheaper route maybe home depot or lowes to get the supplies I need...

 

here's what I came up with:

2 double wide corner braces 2"
2 mending plate/ zinc plate 2"
4 m6-1.00X30 socket head cap screws
4 6mm washers
4 nylon lock nuts
Black gloss Krylon (already had it)
2 Driving lights (already had them)

what do ya think?

 

everything is snug and no movement from driving... Think I'm gonna make 4 more sets!
